Preparing for street style research
I have made my questionnaire to take to London with me on Thursday, below is my the questions I have came up with.
STREET STYLE QUESTIONNAIRE
1. How old are you?
2. Which area are you from?
3. Which shops are your statement pieces of clothing from?
4. How much would you usually spend on an outfit?
5. How long does it take you to pick and outfit and get ready?
6. Where did you get your inspiration for your outfit from?
7. Do you go for the style or comfort look?
8. Which job sector do you work in?
9. How often do you but a new item of clothing?
I am happy and feel confident that I'll get the information I want out of these questions, I am really excited about going to different parts of London to see the different styles that different areas wear.
I am expecting Chelsea to be a lot different to places like Brick lane as I think Chelsea will have more upper class people and I think you'll be able to tell this by looking at what they are wearing.
I am going to take my camera, questionnaires and notepad with me, so I can gain all the relevant information I need.

Research overview so far
I have been researching the colour trends on various fashion trend websites for a few weeks now, and I wanted to look over all the work I have done so far to have an idea in what I liked best and what information I found most useful. After looking at my different boards on Pinterest, I've decided that I got my most useful information from WGSN and I really enjoy looking on there to find out future trends. The first thing I started to research was colour trends, which I did enjoy looking at but there was so many colour trends for s/s 2014 that I found it hard to limit my choice. The colours that I liked the most and I thought would be the most popular from my trends were the bright colours which included pinks and bright blues, they are nice colours and look very summery, and I think these type of bright colours are best suited for the sunshine so I think they are most likely to be very popular and trend summer 2014.

Wallpaper
The trends with different wallpapers and bedroom decoration definitely links to floral patterns and black and white colours. I was looking at my own wallpaper and got inspiration to look at different floral/flower patterned wallpapers. So I went to B&Q the next day to look at different types of floral wallpaper. Below are a few of the pictures that I took while I was at B&Q, I decided to look into floral wallpaper because when I have been researching S/S 2014 trends, I found that a lot of the clothing had floral patterns, so I wanted to find out if the same trends did follow with household decorations as well as just fashion.
I really enjoyed looking at all the different wallpapers, and straight away I could see a trend in the flower/floral patterns but in different colours however were mainly dark colours.

Street styling in London
Today we have been to 3 different areas in London, to look at the different ways people dress in different areas. I found today very useful and helpful for my trend and styling project, I really enjoyed taking note of what people were wearing.
I asked 45 people in total my questions in the three different areas, when I got home I looked at my results and I needed to decide how I would calculate and explain the data I found out. I decided I would write down all the questions I asked again in my notepad and then next to the questions write down the possible answers and how many people choose each answer, after then looking at the numbers I think I'll put my results in a graph, so then the results will look clearer, and then I will write a short paragraph to sum up my results and how they will help me.

Trends in winter
This picture taken not to long ago at a night out,is of me and my friends, and I noticed in this picture that the trend was dark clothing, we are all wearing dark coloured mainly black clothing but just different styles, so it makes sense to realise that winter represents dark colours and summer represents bright colours,in theory this is what is thought when colours are put with different seasons.
Car trends
The cars that girls must have to be fashionable and fit it with the current trends at the moment are mini coopers and fiat 500 in all colours, everyone that is just pasting their driving tests are getting either one of these cars, as these are the most popular at the moment, they have both been in fashion for a while but have become a lot more fashionable over the past year, and I believe that they will stay in fashion for a lot longer, as they are actually quite good cars however are quite expensive to buy. But to have a fashionable car that is the price you have to pay. There isn't really any certain colours that are most popular with these cars, as car colours are a lot different to the colours that are predicted for fashion, I think this year they'll be certain colours which become more popular to have, because it seems that as the years go on, the criteria to be fashionable is getting smaller. Cream cars are the most original colour to buy the cars in, but having any other colour is still good.
