Today was my first lesson in Trend and Styling Concepts, I was very excited about starting a new project. I set up my own pinterest account, on http://pinterest.com. This was the first time I had been on pinterest and I was really enjoying looking at over peoples pictures, and getting inspiration. I set up a pinterest account, because I was told it would help me with the current project, and it was an easier way to create mood boards or styling boards to help inspire us for our final ideas. The first image that caught my eye from pinterest was this one
This image gave me inspiration to have a look at different colour palettes, to see what the current colour trends were. The best part about my first lesson was creating and then learning to use pinterest, at the end of the lesson I now feel pretty confident and I can navigate my way around the site, I like the fact you can like peoples pictures and repin them onto my own page, because I was really inspired by some of the pictures I saw online.
I also looked on WGSN to look at colour trends for summer 2014/ Autumn and Winter 2014, the image above is the picture I liked the best, I really liked the colours and the way that used all the colours on the side into the image, I thought this looked really good, and was an amazing way to show what colour trends would be in this season and how they can be used.
I am very excited to do this project as I have never done a blog or created an electronic sketch book so this will be my first attempt, and I really enjoy doing things that I have never done before. I aim to try very hard in this project and achieve the best result I can.
